Jung Yonghwa appointed ambassador to 2016 Busan 'One Asia' Festival

The promotional ambassador appointment ceremony for the 2016 Busan One Asia Festival was held on October 21st at Busan City Hall. CNBLUE's leader and lead vocalist, Jung Yong-hwa, was appointed ambassador to the festival, which will be held from October 1-23, 2016 in Busan.

 

Jun Yong-hwa is a Hallyu star from Busan who has been playing a major role in spreading Hallyu in China. He was #1 on China's Gaon Weibo Chart for the 43rd week, and he appeared in season four of the Chinese comedy–variety show Diors Man. He received the 'Hallyu Star Award' at the 2012 K-Drama Star Awards.

 

The 2016 festival will feature performances, autograph sessions, exhibitions and a beauty expo of Hallyu stars. The city hopes to attract over 150,000 Hallyu tourists from Asia and worldwide with its wide variety of cultural and Hallyu events. The festival aims to grow internationally and encourage extended tourism in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
