The 11th Busan Fireworks Festival was successfully held on October 23-24 in the Gwangalli Beach area.
The
festival began with an evening concert on October 23rd. Under the theme “Love
Begins with a Confession”, tens of thousands of fireworks were launched into
the sky from 8:00 to 8:50 p.m. on October 24th. About 1.3 million Korean and
overseas visitors came to enjoy the show.
This
year, the fireworks were expanded to three launch locations on the sea near
Igidae, Gwangalli Beach and Dongbaekseom Island, and the number of fireworks
barges increased to ten, so people in more locations could view the spectacular
show.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the normalization of the Republic of Korea -Japan ties, the fireworks team from Japan presented a fantastic 15-minute show. After that, fireworks on the sea at Tsushima Island celebrated the festival. Unfortunately, this three-minute performance could not be viewed from Busan because of weather conditions. Busan City plans to continue leading long-term relations with Tsushima.
