Busan International Seafood & Fisheries Expo (BISFE) 2015 was held October 29th–31st at BEXCO. The largest-ever exposition, with 396 companies from 26 countries participating, attracted 14,000 buyers and visitors this year.
As a result, 742 consultations, an increase of 5% over last year, were conducted during the Expo, and US$ 600 million in export consultations was realized. Sixteen foreign and 45 Korean companies signed 36 contracts worth US$ 5.4 billion.
The participation of countries in North and West Africa, including Senegal and Morocco, was notable this year.
Busan City hosted a yacht convention for ministers, vice ministers, and other high-ranking officials of 11 foreign governments, buyers and Korean companies, providing a tour of the seafood processing complex. Various programs related to the exposition also took place.
