The City Tour Bus that takes people to tourist attractions in the Busan region broke through 10,000 passengers in just two months. The situation has overcome worries about not having enough users in the beginning. The bus has gained such popularity from tourists from other regions and overseas that public servants in other cities and provinces target it as benchmarking material with much high favor.

Persons at City Tour bus of the Busan Tourism Development Office stated on October 30 that customers on the bus reached 10,000 on
October 22, 58 day after beginning the service on August 15.

There are two double-decker buses that are 3.9 meters high and have 41 seats, and two limousine buses which hold 28 passengers. The buses are all equipped with high technology facilities so tourists can access information through touch screens set up in each seat. The buses head to the Taejongdae and Haeundae districts at one-hour intervals, so people can enjoy individual time at tourist attractions and are able to transit on a later bus. Until the last bus at
5:30 pm, it is possible for users to get on and off as much as they want to in both directions.

A survey conducted with 7,194 users until the end of September shows an average of 176 passengers on the vehicles. It is analyzed that the service has become popular with strangers. Fifteen percent of foreigners who visit Busan on the KTX use the tour bus. There was an average of thirteen foreigners per day, based on special statistics starting from October 19.

In general, daily users reach 100 to 150 during weekdays and approximately 250 on weekends, with passengers concentrated during the summer vacation season.

To make complete settlement of the tour bus,
Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan City Tour Bus feel keenly the need for measures to attract passengers in winter, a slack season. So they have devised theme categories for routes including investigating migratory birds along the Nakdong River and Christmas events targeting lovers. The measures of luring and promoting will attract various customers to the tour bus.
