Various events marked the 61st United Nations Day at the U.N. Memorial Cemetery in Busan on Tuesday.
Some four-hundred people gathered for the ceremony including the mayor of the southern port city Hur Nam-sik and ambassadors and citizens of eleven countries whose fallen soldiers are buried at the cemetery.
The participants held silent prayers and laid flowers for those who fought and died during the Korean War.
A memorial wall made of one-hundred-66 granite panels was also unveiled. It is inscribed with the names of some 40-thousand-900 U.N. combatants from 17 countries.
