Cinematheque Pusan will host a special screening of the movies of Director Sergio Leone, an Italian filmmaker famous for his Spaghetti Westerns, from February 26 until March 1.

Leone’s best known movies, including ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’(1966), ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’(1968), ‘A Fistful of Dynamite’(1971) and ‘Once Upon a Time in America’ (1984) will be screened.

Sergio Leone is a film director who transformed the style of the Hollywood western, not just imitating America’s cowboy films.

Tickets to ‘Once Upon a Time in America’ all sold out at the special screening event, ‘Old Theater’, last November. The movie will be shown this time in answer to continuous requests for its re-screening from people who were not able to see it the first time. ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ inspired the Korean movie ‘The Good, The Bad, The Weird’, directed by Kim Ji-un.

The newly restored prints of these four Sergio Leone movies will provide a good opportunity to experience the true value of movies for both old movie fans and the young generation.

Movie tickets can be purchased in advance for 5,000 won (3,000 won for members) online at cinema.piff.org or by calling the Cinematheque Pusan at 051-742-5377.
