Variety of International Cultural Events in 2007

 

The 2nd Korea Festival Expo  May 2-6,

Busan International Magic Festival  May 2-6,

Busan Sea Festival 2007  August 1-10,

Busan International Rock Festival  August 3-5,

Pusan International Film Festival  October 4-12,

Busan Jagalchi Festival  October 17-21,

The Multimedia Fireworks Show  (in October),

The New Year Festival, Busan  December 31-January 1,2008

 

A variety of international cultural events this year will further enhance Busan as an international cultural city. By starting to successfully hold the first event of 2007, ‘The New Year Festival, Busan’, Busan City is preparing for mega cultural events to attract world-wide attention. 

 

Busan City is planning to promote international cultural events such as Joseon Tongsinsa (the 400 years celebration), Pusan International Film Festival, Busan International Rock Festival and the 2nd Busan International Magic Festival. The plan also includes the specialization of regional festivals such as the New Year Festival, Busan Sea Festival and the 2nd Korea Festival Expo and also to attract many tourists with events such as the Multimedia Fireworks Show and the Night Lighting of Gwangan Grand Bridge and Gwangalli Beach.

 

The cultural events, Joseon Tongsinsa(envoy)’s Korea-Japanese Cultural Interchange Events in Busan May 4-5, the 2nd Korea Festival Expo May 2-6 and the 2nd Busan International Magic Festival May 2-6, are especially scheduled for the Golden Week in Japan, April 29 through  May 6, and it is hoped this will attract many Japanese tourists to Busan.
