Busan Brand Taxi Service, ‘Busan Call’ to launch on December 10.

Joining the “Deungdae Call” taxi service will be another new taxi service, called ”Busan Call”, which will be launched on December 10 in Busan.

 

Busan Call consists of 1,500 corporate taxis selected by Busan city. The opening ceremony of the Busan Call service will be held at Olympic Park in Haeundae on December 10.

For greater convenience to passengers, Busan Call taxis are equipped with credit card terminals and receipt dispensers and will operate at the same fare as that of regular taxis like Deungdae Call. A taxi drivers’ training program will be held on a regular basis and passengers’ complaints will be reported in order to work towards providing a better service.

A Busan Call taxi will be operated by two drivers working on a 12-hour shift system so the service will be available to passengers 24 hours a day by dialing 051) 200-2000.

Therefore, a total of 5,500 brand taxis, including 4,000 private Deungdae Call taxis and 1,500 corporate Busan Call taxis will be operating in Busan.

 

Busan is planning to launch small taxis with engine displacements of under 1,500 cubic centimeters from the beginning of 2009.
