BEXCO tapped as top convention center

Busan Exhibition & Convention Center or BEXCO has topped the list of holding international conferences in 2007 among all domestic exhibition, convention centers, hotels and universities that can hold such events, announced by the Korea National Tourism Corp.

Out of the 456 international events attended by 10 foreigners or more from at least three countries, BEXCO held 38 events to be the No. 1 such facility.

BEXCO showed particular strength in sea-related events by holding 12 out of the 18 conferences, befitting its status as the nation’s largest port. Following BEXCO’ lead was COEX in Seoul with 37 and Ramada Jeju Hotel with 22.

Busan, far from satisfied with BEXCO’s taking No. 1 spot, plans to strive to hold more international conferences.
