Royster becomes honorary citizen

Jerry Royster, manager of Lotte Giants pro baseball team, has been made an honorary citizen of Busan.
The city delivered the certificate of honorary citizenship to Royster, who has advanced the Busan-franchised Lotte to a play-off season, a long aspired dream of all citizens, on Sept. 28 when the team had its final home game of this year’s season.
Mayor Hur Nam-sik and Manager Royster sang together the Lotte Giants' rooting song, “Seagull of Busan,” keeping the promise they made early in the season if Lotte advanced to the big-four tournament, along with 30,000 fans.
