The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority said it held an investor relations session to publicize the zone's business opportunities to 30 European Union Chamber of Commerce in Korea (EUCCK) member companies and European Union Embassy officers at the South Pacific Hotel in Busan last week.

Among the participants were CEOs of Boehringer Ingelheim, ProLogis, Nokia Korea, Octopus Korea, Odjfell Terminal and Dubai Port World.

Officers representing Switzerland, France, Romania, Finland, Russia and other countries' embassies also joined the session.

These business leaders also took part in a site tour, which included the new port area and the Busan Newport Terminal as well as the Renault Samsung Motors Busan plant, it said.

The authority said the event would help attract more interest from prospective investors. It said it would continue to hold a series of publicity sessions to attract more investors from international companies to the zone, which provides tax benefits, skilled labor and high-quality infrastructure.
