To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Korea, the ‘Big Roof’ of the Busan Cinema Center will be lit up with a giant waving Taegukgi (Korean flag) from 8-11 p.m. on August 14-15.
The
Busan Cinema Center’s ‘Big Roof’ is the longest cantilever roof in the world
and is certified by Guinness World Records (1.5 times larger than a soccer
field).
This
event is hosted and organized by the Busan Cinema Center and the Busan IT
Industry Promotion Agency. The special LED shows are scheduled to be displayed
during national holidays, New Year’s holidays, Christmas and during other
special occasions.
The
stunning LED-saturated roof of the Busan Cinema Center has been lit up every
day after sunset to 11 p.m. It is one of many popular night attractions in
Busan.
To mark the 70th anniversary of Liberation Day in Korea, various events will be held in Busan on August 14-15 including a 40-minute fireworks show on August 14 from 9:05 p.m. at the breakwater in front of the North Port Redevelopment area.
