To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Korea, the ‘Big Roof’ of the Busan Cinema Center will be lit up with a giant waving Taegukgi (Korean flag) from 8-11 p.m. on August 14-15.

The Busan Cinema Center’s ‘Big Roof’ is the longest cantilever roof in the world and is certified by Guinness World Records (1.5 times larger than a soccer field).

This event is hosted and organized by the Busan Cinema Center and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency. The special LED shows are scheduled to be displayed during national holidays, New Year’s holidays, Christmas and during other special occasions.

The stunning LED-saturated roof of the Busan Cinema Center has been lit up every day after sunset to 11 p.m. It is one of many popular night attractions in Busan.

To mark the 70th anniversary of Liberation Day in Korea, various events will be held in Busan on August 14-15 including a 40-minute fireworks show on August 14 from 9:05 p.m. at the breakwater in front of the North Port Redevelopment area.
