The
opening and closing films have been selected for the 10th Busan International
Kids and Youth Film Festival (BIKY), which will take place from July 30 - August
4, 2015, at the Busan Cinema Center.
The
opening film of the BIKY 2015 will be “The story of my father’s bike and me” directed
by Fayaz Mousavi from Iran. As the 6th film from director Fayaz
Mousavi, it was screened at the Zlin Film Festival, the world largest children’s
film festival.
‘My
father’s bike and me’ is a story of Hamed, a 13-year-old teenager who takes
many risks to get a bicycle for a bicycle race. However, in the end, he rides
the old bicycle left for him by his late father.
Director
Fayaz Mousavi will also be in Busan to take part in the opening ceremony of the
BIKY on July 30, 2015.
The
closing film of the BIKY 2015 will be "The Greatest House in the World
(original title: LA CASA MÁS GRANDE DEL MUNDO)," jointly directed by Ana
Bojorquez and Lucia Carreras. It was filmed in Mexico and Guatemala.
“The
Greatest House in the World” is a growth story of Rocio, a Maya Mam girl, who
is stuck caring for a herd of sheep while her mother gives birth in their
isolated rural homestead.
Under
the theme of “We are All Unique!,” BIKY 2015 will screen a total of 117 films
from 26 countries.
Tickets
to the BIKY 2015 are on sale from July 6.
