APEC Naru Park, located by the Suyeong River in Centum City, is opened to the public on the 21st in commemoration of the APEC conference to be held in Busan.

APEC Naru Park is one of the three parks that were built in the central parts of Busan to commemorate the APEC conference. The other parks are Dongbaek Park that opened on the 19th and the UN Peace Park that will open on the 25th.

It cost about 15 billion won and took one year to complete on the 24 acres of land with a “Riverside-theme place,” “play area in a green field,” and “scenery plantation.”

In the park, there are the APEC commemoration plaza, an open-air theatre to hold events, walking paths and green areas for visitors to relax and enjoy the area anytime.

Its special scenery lighting will harmonize with Gwangan Grand Bridge at night, which is also known for its beautiful lighting.

The completion ceremony was on October 21st with the mayor and about a thousand citizens attending.
