State University of New York at Stony Brook, one of the prestigious American universities, will run a graduate course in Busan.

According to Busan City and Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Office, SUNY-SB has decided to offer its "Master of Science for Techno Management" or MS-TM course, and the U.S. university's president will visit Busan in October to sign an agreement.

SUNY-SB has already been operating an MS-TM course at Seoul Science Graduate School - its first in Asia. Lectures will start as early as November, probably at the Busan Design Center, for about 50 students. The lectures will be given in English.

The MS-TM course is expected to facilitate the establishment of an SUNY-SB branch school here, allowing students to obtain master's degree without going to the United States for study at great expense, and helping to expedite the globalization of the city.
