Busan Foundation for International Activities (BFIA) actively supported foreign communities and international exchange events between Busan citizens and foreigners staying in Busan last year.
Foreign communities based in Busan can benefit from financial support by the BFIA for their international exchange events, exhibitions and festivals.
The BFIA supported a Holy Festival held by the Indian Community, a New Year Festival held by the Myanmar Community, and a performance by Indonesian students at Kyungsung University last year, among other events. The BFIA supported a total of 27 foreign communities and 30 events last year, including a fund raising concert for victims of the massive typhoon that struck the Philippines, which was held by Busan's Filipino workers community and a community working to guarantee immigrants' equal rights.
