Friedrich-Alexander University Busan Recruiting Students for 2014 Spring Semester

FAU (Friedrich-Alexander University) Busan branch campus located in the Busan Jinhae Free Economic Zone is recruiting 25 graduate students for the 2014 spring semester.


Recruitment will focus on the following six majors:  Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Thermodynamics, Environmental Process Engineering, and Mechanical Process Technology.


Qualified applicants should have:


(1) Bachelor or preparatory bachelor’s degree by Feb.2014 with high marks.

(2) Fluent in English, outstanding scholastic ability, sufficient knowledge in relevant areas, enthusiasm for research.

(3) Graduates from universities or study programs with English as an instructional language may not be required to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score. However, in some cases applicants may be required to provide an English proficiency test score.

All classes are in English.

(4) Applicants with a Dipl-Ing. Degree from a Fachhochschule (FH) can apply under special conditions.


FAU Busan with a faculty of 27 members, opened in March 2011, and is the BJFEZ’s first foreign educational institution as well as the first German university campus in Asia. The FAU Busan campus offers the same high quality education as well as an opportunity to earn the same prestigious Master’s degree as students at the Eerlangen-Nuremberg Campus in Germany.


The registration period for the spring 2014 semester is the same for both campuses, and those wishing to attend must have their applications submitted by January 31, 2014.
