The city has launched a new 35.2-square-meter promotion center to highlight the best of Busan.
The center is located in the transfer area between line No. 1 and 2 at Seomyeon Station. It opened on Aug. 16.
Local officials see the new center as a way to actively promote the city and locals developments to tourists at the busy commuting area.
The promotion center is open to the public on weekdays, presenting information on 100 sites in the city, a glimpse at the daily life of locals, 10 things Busan residents are proud of about the region, tourism resources and city government news.

At the entrance to the center there are two screens airing promotional video clips about Busan throughout the day.
Visitors can also pick up copies of Dynamic Busan - the city’s primary English newspaper - and the Japanese version of the publication, which is called “ダイナミック 釜山”.
Maps with information in English, Japanese and Chinese are also available, and visitors can use two laptops to discover more about the city. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. It is closed on weekends and public holidays. Admission is free. (051-888-4967)
