Cruises will depart from Busan and trave along the south coast including the Hallyeo Marine National Park, the Dadohae (archipelago) Marine National Park and other tourist attractions from this month.
Busan City government announced that PanStarLine Dot Com., Ltd., which operates car-ferries between Busan and Osaka, has purchased an additional cruise ship from Japan and is refitting the ship for its south coast cruises.
The 130m 15,000-ton vessel “PanStar Honey” will travel from Busan via Tongyeong, Yeosu and Wando and to Jeju Island for four to five days.
Destinations on the west and east coasts will be added to the itinerary depending on the season to enable passengers to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Korean coastline and to visit popular tourist attractions.
Cruises to popular spa destinations in Japan will also be scheduled once or twice a month. The PanStar Honey is capable of carrying 500 people and has suites, family and group rooms. There are also various amenities such as restaurants, an indoor performance stage, theaters, a cultural center, shops and a children’s playground.
