Offers guidance on bulletin at Foreigners Support Center

"You can get a variety of information on home stay requests, job offers and job hunting at the Busan Foundation for International Activities or BFIA."

So said officials of BFIA, which has been operating a bulletin board that provides such information as well as providing networking links for foreigners living in Busan since the beginning of this month.

The bulletin, hung on a wall of the BFIA's Foreigners Support Center on the ground floor of the City Hall building, is four-meters wide and 1.5-meters high, and is crammed with information, including home-stay news that directly links foreigners to citizens, volunteer services and job-related information such as lecturing at private institutions. Foreigners come here to get easy access to information, which had been hard get because of their expatriate status.

To make the most of the bulletin board, BFIA has Korean volunteer workers who can speak foreign languages on hand to answer questions.

BFIA's Foreigners Support Center is equipped with various convenience facilities, such as the Internet, international telephone and books, for the sake of foreign residents in the city.
