The City of Busan announced that it will co-host Drone Show Korea 2016 with the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy and other government ministries from January 21 to January 23, 2016, at BEXCO, Haeundae. The present and future of unmanned aerial vehicles will be featured at the exhibition.
Drone
Show Korea 2016 will boast around thirty domestic and overseas companies
directly involved in the drone industry and more than a hundred institutes and
academic agencies are scheduled to participate, with roughly 300 booths set for
display.
The
City of Busan will also organize a high-profile conference where distinguished
scholars and prominent CEOs in the industry will be invited as speakers to
participate in about 30 lectures concerning three main areas of the industry
including policy, technology and application.
Regarding
technology, in particular, the latest innovative global drone products and
technologies are expected to be introduced. In terms of application, various
ways of commercializing and industrializing drones in various fields including
agriculture, disaster prevention, drone journalism and distribution, will be
discussed and pursued.
Along with an exhibition of drone related photography and video, and a drone film festival, there will be a massive experience booth where visitors can control different kinds of drones by themselves. Busan is also considering a drone driving competition with local participants at the nearby Haeundae Beach which will be broadcasted live on screens at the exhibition using remote video monitoring technology.
