Haeundae, Taejongdae and Gamcheon Culture Village have been selected and included on the list of the “100 Must Visit Places in Korea.”
The
Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and
Tourism (MCST) announced the list on April 2, 2015.
To
select “100 Must Visit Places in Korea,” the KTO and MCST evaluated
recommendations of tourist attractions given by local governments and analyzed
Big Data from blogs, twitter and online over the past three years.
According
to Big Data, people prefer to travel to smaller local areas and plan their own
trips versus packaged tours.
The
“100 Must Visit Places in Korea” includes 28 places in the Gyeongsang area, 8
places in the capital area, 18 places in the Jeolla area, 15 places in the Gwangwon
area, 10 places in the Chungcheong area and 11 places in Jeju.
