The City of Busan and the Busan Foundation for International Activities (BFIA) announced that they will offer scholarships to 28 talented foreign students. The scholarships will provide 10 million won annually per person.

The Foreign Student Support Center, as part of one of its major projects, has given away these scholarships since 2012. Those foreign students who are currently studying at Busan-based undergraduate and graduate schools must meet certain criteria to be eligible, including a recommendation from their school, proper documentation as well as go through an interview process.

A total of 28 students from China (21), Vietnam (2), Japan (1), Indonesia (1), Mongolia (1), Myanmar (1), and Bangladesh (1) will be chosen. These individuals will be talented and expected to play a positive role not only in their communities, but also between Busan and their home countries.
