All the seven beaches in Busan start business from July 1.

Five of them - Haeundae, Gwangalli, Songjeong, Dadaepo and Songdo - are opened on July 1, while the other two - Ilgwang and Imnang - will open on July 4.

The combined total of visitors to these seven beaches last year was 41.3 million, breaking into 15.6 million for Haeundae, followed by 11.7 million for Gwangalli, 8.2 million for Songjeong and 4.15 million for Songdo. Operators expect 42.5 million people will visit the beaches this year.

In time for their opening, the city has prepared various attractions and refurbished convenience facilities. To ensure the safety of vacationers, it poured 910 cubic meters and 1,090 cubic meters of sand, respectively, on Haeundae and Gwangalli beaches last month. The Haeundae-gu District plans to set up 10,000 beach parasols in July 2-3 to register it as the "beach with the most parasols" with the Guinness World Records. From the day of opening, it will receive credit and transport cards and issue cash receipts to visitors at lockers as well as start information broadcasting service in English.

The Suyeong-gu District will streamline two of its jogging courses - 1.4-km beach on Gwangalli and 1-km course along Hoan Street.
