Busan is good

Large stores and SSMs to be closed every 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.

Starting from April, 36 Busan-based large discount stores - operated by Lotte Mart, Mega Mart, E-Mart and Homeplus - and smaller Super Super Markets (SSM) will close every 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. The stores will also be closed from midnight till 8 a.m. 

 

This Busan City policy aims to boost the trade of traditional local markets, to protect small businesses and to enhance the labor welfare of employees at the very large stores and the smaller SSMs.
