Busan’s first English radio broadcasting station, Be-FM (FM 90.5) launched smartphone apps for Android and iPhone in September 2011.
The smartphone apps provide a variety of content including news, music, weather and entertainment. The app users can listen to live broadcasts as well as previously aired programs.
To use the Busan e-FM app, search for “BEFM” in the Android Market or the App Store, and download and install the app.
Busan e-FM was the first local English radio station set up in Korea. Financed in part by Busan Metropolitan City and launched in February 2009, e-FM is a primary source for local news, stories about daily life in Busan and tourism and transportation information in English for foreign residents. It is also helping to widen the global mind-set of citizens and help them to learn English. The station airs English programs 21 hours a day.
Busan e-FM (90.5MHz) is streaming live on the internet, via its website at http://www.befm.or.kr, which was launched in June 2009. Listeners can download shows previously aired from the website as well.
