Welcome to BFIA Supporters Workshop

Busan Foundation for International Activities (BFIA) is glad to provide BFIA supporters and expats with an opportunity to get together and know each other. Please sign up for this workshop, which features a special guest speaker, outdoor group activities, and Korean cultural experiences.

 

□ BFIA Supporters Workshop

  ○ Date & Time: Saturday, November 13, 9 a.m. ~ 7 p.m.
○ Venue: Hamjigol Youth Center
○ Participants: BFIA Supporters and Expats living in and around Busan
○ No. of Participants: Approx. 120 persons
○ Participation Fee: Free

Curriculum Announcement and Safety Education

 

  10:20~11:20

Guest Speaker: Stephen Palmer
- Principal of Busan International Foreign School(BIFS): "Multiculturalism, a personal viewpoint"

 * Will be delivered in English

* Materials will be provided in both Korean and English

  11:20~12:20

 Recreation

 

  12:30~13:30

 Lunch

 * Will be provided by BFIA

  13:30~16:30

 Group Activity: Orienteering on Mt. Bongnaesan

 

 16:30~18:30

 Korean Cultural Experience Activity: Korean Paper Craft or Traditional Mask Craft (Clay art)

○ Download the application from the BFIA homepage (www.bfia.or.kr), fill it out and then email it to jhz97@bfia.or.kr
○ Due by: November 4
The final list of participants will be posted on our website the next day at 5p.m

 

□ Selection Criteria
○ It is hoped that as wide a variety of nationalities as possible will attend the event.
○ Previous voluntary experience with BFIA, & foreign language proficiency for Korean attendees, will be taken into consideration.

 

□ Other Info
- A Letter of Approval for participation at this BFIA workshop can be issued, if requested.
○ Anyone who is not able to depart from City Hall or prefers to go directly to Hamjigol Youth Center by themselves should mention this on your application form.
