The Busan Foundation for International
Activities (BFIA) has been operating a call center to help foreign residents
with everyday life in Busan since 2009.
The service is offered for free in seven
languages including Korean, English, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indonesian, Uzbek,
and Russian.
To provide more professional
consultations, experts in seven fields including lawyers, certified labor
consultants, judicial scriveners, tax accountants, licensed real estate agents,
and customs agents also offer specialized services. Those seeking any of these
specialized services must make an appointment in advance.
A total of six consultants consisting
of four married immigrants and two seniors who have working experience related
in English provide services from 9 am to 6 pm during weekdays.
To enhance support for foreign residents and help them adjust to life in Korea, the call center consultants plan to hold a seminar. For more detailed information, visit http://www.bfia.or.kr/english/contents/b1_1.asp
