The
32nd Busan International Short Film Festival (BISFF) will be held
from April 24 – 28, 2015, at the Busan Cinema Center. The official poster for the
32nd BISFF was designed after one of the motion graphic works from SaTARLIT, a
personal exhibition by Busan artist SATA. Featuring a boy trying to find his
way in the field of reeds, it conveys a sense of anticipation for his
unexpected encounter with the world. The desolate space, the back of the boy
whose face cannot be seen, and his movement forward make us wonder if his
presence is intended or accidental. It conveys BISFF’s effort, in its 32nd
edition this year, to grow beyond yearly but momentary gatherings into the hub
of Asian short films. Since 2005, SATA’s works, where he catches moments, have
been presented in both personal and group exhibitions, such as History,
SaTARLIT, Sata Air water Air, SaTARK and Multidimensional Senses.
