Czech Prime Minister Visits Busan to Promote Economic Cooperation and Development

Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka of the Czech Republic visited Busan to discuss ways to increase exchanges and cooperation between Busan and the Czech on February 26 – 27, 2015.

 

Visiting Korea on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, President Park Geun-hye and Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka held a bilateral summit at Cheong Wa Dae on February 26. After the summit, the Czech Prime Minister visited Busan accompanied by a large economic-business delegation of over 60 members, including cabinet ministers and had a dinner meeting with Busan Mayor Suh Byung-soo and local business representatives at the Lotte Hotel.

 

At the meeting, the two sides agreed to make joint efforts to promote business trade, investment and cooperation.  

 

On February 27, the Czech prime minister and his delegation took a tour of some companies in Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam including the Nexen Tire Plant in Changnyeong, Hyundai Motor Company in Ulsan, and Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction.
