The 2nd Busan International Seafood and Fisheries Expo 2004, is being held from November 25th to 28th at BEXCO (Busan Exhibition and Convention Center), Busan City. The Expo Office announced on the 23rd that about 500 corporations from 23 countries, including Korea would participate in the Expo. This Expo is the best opportunity to see all the newest and best products and services of the international marine products and trade industry, hosted by Busan city and BEXCO, sponsored by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives. The world’s biggest farm manufacturing enterprises like INVE Asia Services Ltd. from Thailand, processed marine products from China and Vietnam, the Southern Trade Association from the U.S.A. as well as domestic marine industries such as Daerim Corp., Oyang Coporation, Hansung Enterprises Co., Ltd. and Dongwon F & B etc. will be present at this Expo.

There will be affiliated shows from the Sea literature Society, a sushi sampling and selling event, a sushi slicing competition, a sushi sauce fair, a sushi art fair, a folk festival from the attendees’ country and others. People involved with this event in Busan City said that the Expo would serve to confirm the global competitiveness of the seafood marine industry of Busan, to promote exports by holding a world-class professional marine exhibition and to build up Busan as a strong holder of the Northeast Asia marine logistics trade. It is easy to see the stream of world fisheries and marine products industries into the area. The 1st Expo last year succeeded in gaining export results of 25 million dollars from 415 participating enterprises from 20 countries.
