Improvements in Public Facilities at Haeundae Beach

Haeundae-gu District is renovating the public convenience facilities at Haeundae Beach so that visitors can enjoy a more pleasant vacation environment.

All beach facilities at Haeundae Beach, including changing rooms, a make-up room, convenience stores, Internet Shimteo , outdoor cafés and the outdoor stage, will be renovated or be reestablished.

3 new temporary structures housing showers and changing rooms will be installed for the convenience of summer visitors.

With a new advanced design, two convenience stores will be established next to the changing room. Beverages and swimming goods will be on sale there, and they will also function as outdoor cafés. 

A women-only space for nursing and make-up, and Internet Shimteo with free internet and mobile recharge services will be introduced this summer. The outdoor stage of the event square will be renewed for various performances and beach parasols will be placed in the vicinity.  

The public toilets will be transformed into beautiful toilets. Based on a submitted plan which received the Encouragement Prize at the Beautiful Toilet Design Competition hosted by Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs (renamed the Ministry of Public Administration and Security) last year, the luxury toilet facilities will be developed at a cost of 2.5 billion won and are scheduled to open before the beginning of the swimming season.
