Foreign Ministry, Busan City Sign Role-Sharing Accord for APEC

The Foreign Ministry and the Busan city government struck a role-sharing agreement on Wednesday as they prepare to host next year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Meeting.
Under the accord, signed by Minister Ban Ki-moon and Mayor Hur Nam-sik, the ministry will take charge of conference facilities, information technology infrastructure as well as staffing and cultural events, while the host city will launch a clean-up campaign ahead of the arrival of foreign dignitaries.
