The 2008 IT EXPO Busan will be held from September 3rd to 6th at Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) in Busan, Korea's second city. The theme is "Enjoy U", with the "u" in case standing for Ubiquitous, the convergence technology that is threatening to take the world by storm. It is being hosted by Busan Metropolitan City in cooperation with the and Ministry of Knowledge Economy. It has been organized by the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, BEXCO, and The Electronic Times.

It is a trade exhibition certified by the Association of Korea Exhibition Industries and has been called "a promising international exhibition" by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy. It will be concurrently held with International Contents Creators Conference (ICON). Approximately 300 domestic and foreign buyers will be invited, and 100,000 visitors are expected. At last year's event, there were 550 booths from 171 exhibitors, a total of 100,081 visitors, and 381 domestic and foreign buyers in attendance.

1,366 business meetings amounted to 50.392 billion Won worth of business. 151 contracts signed between 42 companies also amounted to 16.344 billion Won, and ten Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) were concluded between five companies. The kind of technology on show will include as Mobiles, Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB), Home Network solutions, Ubiquitous solutions, digital contents, applied software, Internet and applied solution plans. Active participation and interest in this promising event is expected. It is a place for business and networking opportunities with many advanced and upgraded programs that can tailor- fit specific business needs. www.busanit.or.kr
