The World Korean Business Convention is an international forum attended by Korean economists both at home and abroad, and international businessmen from around the world.

The World Korean Business Convention is scheduled to take place in Busan City from November 2 to 4 at the BEXCO, providing a platform for Korean economists and businessmen to network on a global scale and discuss issues of common concern.

The event, which is being held in the city for the third time, is aimed at raising the international competitiveness of Korean companies and entrepreneurs. This year's slogan is "Open the future to the world, Hansang."

Some 3,300 businessmen from Korea and 39 other countries will be participating in the event.

Various programs will light up the coming event, including a special CEO forum, a meeting for young business leaders, business seminars for various industries and strategic seminars.

Additionally, the program includes one-on-one business meetings, investment explanation sessions, mentoring sessions and industry exhibitions. A special photographic exhibition is also scheduled, and awards will be handed out to "men of merit" for their contributions to industry.

The strategic seminar will seek ways of forming a "Hansang Textile Association" to unite industry workers from Korea, China, the U.S., Central America and South America. It will also try to establish an "Overseas Korean Financial Network" for financiers in the U.S., Hong Kong and England.

At an industrial exhibition organized as part of the convention, various theme zones will run to facilitate meetings and trade. The zones will be named by industry, such as textiles and fashion, daily products, food and electronics. There will also be booths for advanced IT products and leading enterprises, among other.

The pre-registration process runs until September 30 and entitles those who use it to an attractive discount. Interested parties should register through the web site (http://hansang.korean.net) or by calling the headquarters of Hansang (02-3415-0150). The registration fee for local companies is 100,000 won, or $350 for overseas companies.
