Gov't Designates May 6 as Temporary Public Holiday

The government has decided to designate May 6, the day after the national holiday Children’s Day, as a temporary holiday in an effort to boost domestic consumption that is critical for economic growth.

 

The government stated highway tolls across the country will be removed and major palaces and other tourist sites will be open to the public for free.

 

As required by the government policy, the toll roads in Busan including Gwangandaegyo Bridge, Baegyang Tunnel, Sujeongsan Tunnel, Eulsukdodaegyo Bridge, Busanhangdaegyo Bridge and Geogadaegyo Bridge, will be free on May 6, 2016.

 

Space Lee Ufan will open with free admission from 10am to 6pm from May 5-8, 2016. Space Lee Ufan is affiliated with the Busan Museum of Art.
