As the construction of the ASEAN Cultural Center begins in earnest, this project which will become a stepping stone for greater than ever interaction between Korea and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries, the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Center was held on March 23. The Center will be equipped with exhibition facilities, a Southeast Asian cultural experience room, a reference room, a multimedia room, an information center, education research facilities, etc. The center is scheduled to open for business in 2017, after a construction process taking a year and a half.
