Launched in 2012 with an opening ceremony attended by Queen Silvia, the Swedish Film Festival has helped cultivate mutual understanding and friendship between Korea and Sweden.
The 15th Swedish Film Festival runs from September 8 to 20, 2026, in Seoul, Busan, Incheon, and Daegu. The Busan segment takes place at the Busan Cinema Center’s Cinematheque from September 10 to 14, with a lineup of nine titles that have won acclaim among Swedish audiences and at international film festivals. Together, they convey stories rooted in Sweden.
A variety of special programs complement the screenings.
