□ As part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s project ‘2026 Culture Day: Bringing Culture to Every Corner,’ Busan Metropolitan City, jointly with CGV, is hosting ‘Play Busan, Play CGV: SCREEN TO STAGE’ to enable citizens to engage with culture more conveniently in their daily lives.

○ Busan aims to broaden the role of movie theaters—affected by the growth of OTT services and changing viewing habits—into an emerging creative platform where audiences can experience various presentations with ease.

□ The event unfolds over three evenings—April 22, 24, and 30, 2026, from 19:30 to 20:30—at three CGV cinemas, making it accessible for families, working adults, and people with diverse pursuits.

○ The selected venues represent Busan’s eastern, central, and western districts and allow the public across the city to attend live programs close to home: CGV Centum City, CGV Seomyeon, and CGV Hadan Art Malling.

○ A total of nine performances span seven genres including: ▲ singing bowls meditation, ▲ magic, ▲ jazz, and ▲ tango.

○ Reservations (11,000 won per performance) have been open since April 15 via the CGV mobile app, along with detailed information.

□ Following a one-month pilot run, Busan and CGV will assess its effectiveness and identify aspects for improvements, with the goal of maintaining a sustainable partnership to deliver a wider variety of offerings in theaters.

- Period: April 22 (Wednesday), 24 (Friday), 30 (Thursday) / 19:30 ▸ 3-day pilot with 9 performances

※ A second round will be planned after May in line with the evaluation results.

- Format: Cultural initiatives utilizing theater infrastructure (tickets sold through the CGV app starting April 15)

※ 11,000 won

- Schedule: 3 locations (Centum City / Seomyeon (Zioplace) / Hadan Art Malling), 9 sessions in total
