Haeundae Sand Festival Back in 2024 Featuring World Art Museum Tour
Haeundae-gu has set the theme for the 2024 Sand Festival as "World Art Museum Tour" and will open the Haeundae Beach Grand Art Museum Sand Festival from May 24th to 27th.
Sand sculptures depicting famous pieces of art are on display ranging from classic to modern styles, including the Venus Statue, Poseidon, and Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe. The main sculpture is 25m wide and 10m high. Other sculptures representing the world's three largest museums, the Vatican Museums, Musée d'Orsay, and the Louvre, have been arranged in 3D form, allowing you to admire them while climbing the stairs.
In addition, a 5m high sand observatory and sand board will be installed in front of the Paradise Hotel at the event plaza. Starting at 8pm, a 'Media Facade' will be unveiled using sand sculptures as screens to project various images onto.
