Haeundae and Songjeong Beaches Ban Fishing

Since December of last year, fishing has been banned at Haeundae Beach and Songjeong Beach. The reason for the ban is due to the increasing number of tourists enjoying water activities all-year round and people walking barefoot on the beach. Moreover, there have been a lot of civil complaints regarding fishing lines that have not been cleaned up, as well as the danger posed to those walking barefoot. For those caught fishing at Haeundae or Songjeong beaches, a fine of 50,000 won will be incurred.
