Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Mass Transit Citizen’s Funds Foundation have announced that the ‘Busan Marine Bus’ and the ‘Metro Marine’, city-themed wrapped local buses and metro trains, will be in operation for five months from May 10th to the end of September to promote Busan as a tourist destination and a candidate city for the 2030 WORLD EXPO.
Four local buses, two village/neighborhood buses and two metro trains have been selected to be wrapped in images of the city’s tourist attractions, including the Gwangandaegyo bridge, Busanhangdaegyo bridge, the “BUSAN is Ready!” World Expo slogan, the city outreach character Boogi and the Busan Marine Bus character Little Prince.
The selected buses are four local buses, No. 52, 20, 86, 51 and two village/neighborhood buses, Dongnae-gu no. 7 and Saha-gu no. 15. A city-themed wrapped subway train on Metro Lines 1 and 2 each will be in operation as well.
A promotional event using social media will take place in June 2023.
