Seollal Lunar New Year Celebration at Busan Museum (Jan. 21 to 24)

In celebration of Korea’s biggest holiday, Seollal Lunar New Year, Busan Museum will hold family-friendly cultural activities and events from January 21st to the 24th.

The free cultural event includes a rabbit photo zone, tea ceremony and traditional folk games.


On the occasion of the year of the rabbit, a rabbit sculpture will be installed in the museum so visitors can take photos with it. Also a cute air suit rabbit costume will be available to take photos with as well.


Visitors can also take part in the event by playing yut, tuho (traditional stick-throwing), gulleongsoe (hoop-rolling), as well as a top-spinning game outside the museum building (10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).


The tea ceremony program with rabbit shaped cookies will be offered to visitors from Jan. 21 to 24, 2023 from 10:30 to 5:30. Online registration is required at the museum’s website at https://museum.busan.go.kr/busan/index (Korean) from 10:00 a.m. on Jan. 4, 2023 (first come, first serve). On-site registration will be available for any remaining seats.


The Busan Museum will open to the public from January 21st to 24th during the Lunar New Year holidays and close on January 25th.
