The City of Busan has announced that it will begin the trial operation of a multi-pay commuter discount between Busanhangdaegyo and Cheonma Tunnel starting March 15, 2022.

The multi-pay commuter discount benefits Hi-pass system users who cross multiple bridges and tunnels in Busan within a set window of time (3 minutes per kilometer). The bridges and tunnels eligible for the discount include, Gwangandaegyo, Busanhangdaegyo, and Eulsukdodaegyo bridges, while the tunnels include, Baegyang, Sujeongsan, Sanseong, and Cheonma tunnels.

If you make trips using these bridges and tunnels sequentially within 3 minutes per kilometer, after having paid the regular toll fee on the first toll you will receive a discount of 200 won each from your second toll to the next toll you pass through regardless of the type of vehicle. However, the discount is not available for vehicles not using the Hi-pass system or already receiving benefits from other exemptions.

During the trial operation, for vehicles entering Cheonma tunnel after passing through Busanhangdaegyo Bridge, a toll fee of 1,400 won will be charged for the Busanhangdaegyo toll, then 1,200 won for the Cheonma tunnel toll, which is discounted 200 won from the regular toll fee. The opposite direction will be charged in the same manner.

The city plans to expand the multi-pay commuter discount to all paid-roads in Busan from April 15, 2022 after reflecting on the results of the trial operation service.
