Busan’s landmarks, the Gwangandaegyo Bridge, Busan Cinema Center and Busan Tower will turn green on March 17, starting at 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
The Gwangandaegyo Bridge, Busan Cinema Center and Busan Tower will join the annual “Global Greening” event hosted by the Embassy of Ireland in Korea to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, which falls on Wednesday, March 17 this year.
The annual “Global Greening” event is Tourism Ireland’s unique global campaign to see a host of major landmarks around the world turn green for St Patrick’s Day. The campaign has grown bigger and bigger each year, with lots of new landmarks signing up to take part in this year’s event.
Gwangandaegyo Bridge joined the event for the first time in 2017, along with approximately 190 other major landmarks around the world, including Sebitseom, Seoul; the Colosseum, Rome, Italy; the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy; the London Eye and Nelson’s Column, London, Great Britain and Christ the Redeemer statue, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Busan Cinema Center went green in 2018, and the Busan Cinema Center and Busan Tower participated in the event in 2019.
The Gwangandaegyo Bridge, Busan Cinema Center and Busan Tower will join this year’s event and will be promoted worldwide as Busan’s premier landmarks.
