Schools to Remain Closed to April 3, 2020

The Ministry of Education announced that all kindergartens, elementary, middle and high schools, as well as special schools will remain closed until April 3, 2020 to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. The kindergartens and schools are scheduled to reopen on April 6, 2020.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced that childcare centers across the country will remain closed until April 5, 2020 as part of the social distancing campaign to prevent the spread of the virus and safeguard the health of infants and young children.
All schools and childcare centers were previously scheduled to reopen on March 23, but the date was postponed to the beginning of April.
