Every gu and gun in Busan will hold New Year’s sunrise events starting around 6:30 a.m. on January 1, 2020, at the following locations.
The sunrise is expected at around 7:32 a.m. on January 1, 2020.
○ Songdo Beach, Seo-gu (6:30-9:00)
○ Mt. Sujeong Family Sports Park, Dong-gu (6:40)
○ Beach in Korea Maritime & Ocean University, Yeongdo-gu
○ Bukjangdae at Mt. Maansan and Dongnaeeupseong, Dongnae-gu (6:50 – 8:30)
○ Oryukdo Skywalk, Nam-gu (7:00 – 8:00)
○ Sanggyebong Peak, Buk-gu
○ Haeundae Beach, Haeundae-gu (6:00 – 8:00)
○ Dongnaeeupseong, Dongnae-gu (7:00 – 8:00)
○ Summit of Yunsan Mountain, Geumjeong-gu (6:50 – 8:10)
○ Dadaepo Beach, Saha-gu (6:00 – 8:00)
○ Mt. Baesan summit, Yeonje-gu
○ Gwangalli Beach, Suyeong-gu
The upper level of Gwangan Bridge will be open to all visitors from 6:30 a.m. - 9 a.m. on January 1, 2020. Traffic on the upper level of the bridge will be shut down from 6 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. on January 1, 2020.
New Year’s celebrations including celebratory performances, folk plays, and New Year prayer ritual are also scheduled to be held. Complementary tteokguk (rice cake soup) will be served at most of the venues.
