The City of Busan is set to host the 2019 Korea International Ocean Film Festival (KIOFF) from July 5 to 7, 2019 at the Busan Cinema Center.

KIOFF chose, “Calling of the Waves” as this year’s theme to honor everything related to the ocean, including turtle hatchlings bravely marching over the waves, surfers attempting to conquer gigantic waves, and the ocean protectors who sail through deadly icebergs in the Antarctic. What is the commonality among them all? They have answered the “calling of the waves” in their own unique ways without having a single doubt.

KIOFF 2019 features a total of 24 films (9 full-length, 15 shorts) from 12 countries.

THE CALL OF THE BABY BELUGA will be screened as the opening film of KIOFF 2019 at the opening ceremony on July 5 at 6:30 p.m. The International OCEAN FILM TOUR Volume 6, with the best ocean adventures and environmental documentaries, will make its Asian premier on July 6 at KIOFF 2019.

All films at the festival will be screened for free.

Through the carefully selected KIOFF 2019 program, we hope you experience the love and joy of exploring the various voices of the ocean with us.
