Hydrangea Festival  

 

Hydrangea flowers are in full bloom around Taejongsa Temple in Taejongdae Park, Yeongdo-gu.


Taejongsa Temple hosts a hydrangea festival annually during the blooming season of hydrangea flowers. The festival is taking place from June 29 to July 7 this year. It will exhibit about 5,000 hydrangeas amid 30 different species from various countries, including Japan, the Netherlands, Thailand, China and Indonesia. They have been cultivated for 40 years in and around Taejongsa Temple.

Visitors can enjoy various cultural performances, hydrangea photo exhibition, photo zone and complimentary food - naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles), along with hydrangea flowers during the festival.

   Opening Ceremony: June 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Taejongsa Temple

   Busking Performances - June 29 and 30, July 6 and 7 at 2:00 p.m.

   Complimentary naengmyeon - June 29 and 30, July 6 and 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

- How to get there: Busan Station (Metro line 1), exit 7. Take bus 88 or 101 and get off at the Taejongdae bus stop. Take a Danubi train at the Taejongdae entrance (exiting at Taejongsa) or walk toward the temple from there.
