In
celebration of Korea’s biggest holiday, Seollal Lunar New Year, the Busan
Museum will hold cultural activities and performances for visitors and citizens
of Busan to enjoy at the museum on February 5, 2019.
The
free cultural event includes making pigs with shrink plastic, Korean
traditional performances and traditional folk games.
On-site
registration is available for making pigs with shrink plastic from 1:00 p.m. to
1:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 (first come, first serve). The program is scheduled over
three sessions (2pm to 2:40pm, 2:50pm to 3:30 pm, 3:40 pm to 4:20 pm). Each
session is limited to the first 40 people who register.
Visitors
can also take part in playing yut, a Korean shuttlecock game (jegichagi), tuho (traditional
stick-throwing), gulleongsoe (hoop-rolling), as well as a top-spinning game
outside the museum building. (10:30a.m.-4:30p.m.) Korean traditional
performances, including folk music and Samulnori are scheduled to be held on
February 5, 2019, from 1:30p.m.-2:00p.m.
The
Busan Museum (including Cultural Experience Center inside the museum) will open
to the public from February 2 to 6 during the Lunar New Year holidays.
